Focus
does not get the respect it deserves in the world of business. We hear a lot of
motivation, stress, emotions, leadership and team culture, but not much
attention is paid to the role of stress in your ability to be productive. Well,
I'm here to change all that.
Let's
first start with this is. In other words, the focus involves the ability to pay
attention to things that will help you and avoid distractions that interfere
with your work efforts. For example, to complete a report, you need to focus on
relevant information and analysis that will include the report. You should also
avoid the typical distractions such as emails, being hungry or tired, or the
people around you.
You cannot think without development
The
home is very important because it is the gateway to all thinking: perception,
memory, learning, reasoning, problem solving and decision making. Without
proper focus, every aspect of your ability to think will suffer. Without focus,
you will not be as effective in your work because if you're not focusing on the
right things or are distracted, you will not be able to do your job.
You
will also not be maximally effective without a good development because every
time your mind wanders away from your work, you are wasting your time. Finally,
you will not be as productive as you can because the output of your work will
not be of the highest quality and you will have more time to do so.
Here's
a simple fact: if you cannot concentrate effectively, you cannot think
effectively. And if you cannot think effectively, you definitely can not
produce the quality of work needed to succeed. In this perspective, it is not
hard to see why stress is such an essential tool for the success of the company.
Focus Progression
Here's
one way you can think of focus in your work, what I call the " progress of
the development . " If you focus on your work intensely without being
distracted by the time that is necessary, you will do the work that is needed.
If you do the necessary work in a targeted way , you can finish the job and
produce a quality product in the shortest amount of time.
How to concentrate better
The
key question is: How can you ensure that you have perfect focus at work that
will result in productive and effective outputs ? Here are some simple steps:
·
De-clutter your mind. One
thing I am sure you will agree with is that a cluttered mind can not
concentrate . If your mind is filled with stuff, like all the things you need
to do today , you will not be able to concentrate well . So , go through your
tasks and prioritize . If you're like most business people, there are items on
your calendar that you can choose either to another day , delegate, or not do
at all. Also, clear your mind of everything that does not relate to your work
as family stuff (of course , easier said than done ) . The less clutter you
have in your mind , the better you 'll be able to concentrate.
·
Create a work space -oriented :
It is also not uncommon for business people have cluttered offices that include
multiple photos, books, assorted tchotchkes , an office full of junk, not to
mention a screen flat on the wall that is always on. A work space filled with
disorder means a mind filled with distractions. To help you focus , simplify your
office by eliminating unnecessary clutter . Of course , you can keep some
family photos and memories to make your office a pleasant place to work for you
. At the same time , get rid of anything that does not fulfill a specific job
function and well , crap that has accumulated on your desk and shelves over the
years . Bottom line : A works pace is simple: an area of more focused work and
less distracted.
·
Control your technology : The
biggest obstacle to be concentrated in this digital age is your technology,
including computers , tablets and smartphones. Pings , vibration, and other
notifications signaling you a voice mail, email, text or social media update
message is received is a constant source of distraction. Recent research has
shown two things about the so-called multitasking. First, people who say they
are great multitasking ( like most business people believe they are) are, in
fact , the worst multitasking . Second, there is no such thing as multitasking
, at least not when it comes to work . Perhaps the best thing you can do to
focus on is that when it is time to do the work , turn off your technology and
focus on the task at hand without distraction or interruption.
·
Focus on the 4 P: The
first P is performed. When you start a project, for example, a sales report,
the strategic plan , marketing analysis , and financial projection , ask
yourself what you need to do your best and then create an environment that will
optimize performance. The second P is a process that involves
focusing entirely on what you need to do to complete a high quality product
without worrying about the outcome . The third P is present,
which means focusing on the here and now , rather than what happened in the
past or what might happen in the future. The fourth P is the productivity
that involves focusing only on things and block out distractions that will
allow you to be more productive you can be.
If
you can take control of your ability to focus and block out distractions , you
are given you a powerful tool that will help you achieve the consistently high
level and be both effective and efficient in your work efforts . The result : a
better job , more successful and achieve your professional goals.
